The "One Night Stand" (ONS) Workshop

   I am now in the process of developing a curriculum around the film, "One Night
Stand" in order to turn my current seminar using the film into a 2-hour HIV/AIDS
Awareness and Prevention Educational Workshop for youth and adults yet targeted to
youth ages 13-24. The 2-hour workshop will be entitled, "The 'One Night Stand' (ONS)
Workshop."  The workshop will include a screening of the film, q&a and discussion of
the film and current statistics of the HIV and AIDS epidemic amongst youth of color and
women of color,  group discussion using a workbook  that includes questions  about the
film, character motives, real life situations, group role-play activities, group discussion
of other contributing factors to the epidemic including self-esteem, self-image, and
body image issues, and discussion of ways to protect yourself from contracting the HIV
virus or the AIDS disease.
   This workshop will be one of the services that my newly incorporated Nonprofit
organization, Liberating Voices, Inc., offers to young men and women of color in
communities, schools,  college campuses, and in teen and youth organizations
nationwide.
   In order to accomplish the full development of this workshop and then the national
exposure of the workshop, I will first need funds and other support to complete the
HIV/AIDS educational workshop curriculum and to get the newly incorporated
Liberating Voices, Inc. off of the ground. If you would like to make a donation to my
