About Me
My name is Celia N. Myrick and I am the Founder and President of
Pantharess Productions and the Co-Founder of Liberating Voices,Inc.
I am a filmmaker, writer, artist, actor, and model. I have six years of
experience working in the Television and Film Industry. I have a lifetime of
experience in the Writing and Fine Arts Industries.
My spiritually-inspired film, "One Night Stand" is my first of many films. I
wrote it when I was 17 years of age while a freshman in college and I
directed and produced the film when I was 19 years of age. Currently, I
am a 22-year-old college student at a college in Atlanta, Georgia. My
future plans for myself and my career include going to one of the best film
schools in the country where I will learn to "master my craft," as Mr. Spike
Lee told me it is important for me and EVERY filmmaker to do, get a
degree in Filmmaking, and continue to make independent films and
eventually Hollywood "blockbuster" films that inspire and touch the human
soul.
Currently, my film "One Night Stand" is in demand nationally for
HIV/AIDS Preventive Education Initiatives, Interventions, College, High
School, Middle School, and Community Programs for youth of color.
In addition, I am now in the process of expanding my current seminar by
developing a curriculum around the film that will turn my 45 minute -1
hour seminar into a 2-hour HIV/AIDS Awareness and Prevention
Educational Workshop for youth and adults yet targeted to youth ages
13-24 (the epidemic age range). The workshop will be entitled, "The 'One
Night Stand' (ONS) Workshop."
This workshop will be one of the services that my newly incorporated
Nonprofit organization, Liberating Voices, Inc., offers to young men and
women of color in communities, schools, college campuses, and in teen
and youth organizations nationwide. In order to accomplish all of this, I will
first need funds and other support to complete the HIV/AIDS educational
curriculum and to get the newly incorporated, nonprofit organization,
Liberating Voices, Inc. off of the ground. If you would like to make a
